The judicial system in our world has undergone a lot of changes in its history. In the days of our ancestors they would often have a town meeting to determine the fate of a criminal. Thousands of years before that, they would have tribe meetings to determine whether or not someone would remain in the tribe if they committed a crime.

The history of incarceration is quite disturbing when you think about it. We no longer can tell right from wrong because laws change so much.
We send people to jail for downloading digital songs and allow murders to plead insanity. The judicial system does not work and in some cases we need to take a long history lesson so that we can employ some of the past standards of incarceration.
